Julian and Rose, hearts and bodies battered

Julian and Rose, hearts and bodies battered

Since his mother’s death, Julian has shut himself away in a dull, monotonous existence. Nothing seems to affect him anymore… until Rose arrives. Mysterious, solitary, always on her guard, cautious in her every move, keeping others at a distance, the young girl is as intriguing as she is baffling. At first, the exchanges between Julian and Rose are awkward… then, little by little, a genuine bond develops between them. When Rose reveals to him that she has brittle bone disease, Julian discovers a strength he had never imagined: the strength to keep moving forward despite fragility, fear and the judgement of others. A sensitive and luminous novel about grief, friendship and courage, brought to life by two deeply endearing teenagers.
